Here's the picture before your first visit in Liverpool.
What the rules say
Foot care has no statutory training requirement of its own -- what's strictly off-limits is using the protected titles "podiatrist" or "chiropodist" without HCPC registration. Clients, insurers and care-home referrers will still generally expect to see recognised training. Public liability insurance isn't a legal must for a sole trader, but given the hands-on nature of the work, most practitioners treat it as non-negotiable.
Quick answers
Do I need insurance to start a mobile foot care business in Oak Hill Park?
Public liability insurance isn't a legal requirement as a sole trader, but it is close to essential given the hands-on, in-home nature of this work across Oak Hill Park and Liverpool.
Do care homes in Oak Hill Park expect any particular checks or certificates?
Many care homes across Oak Hill Park expect to see evidence of relevant training, insurance, and often a DBS check before letting a practitioner treat residents -- it's worth having these ready before approaching local homes.
Can I treat diabetic clients as a non-HCPC foot care practitioner in Oak Hill Park?
Many Foot Health Practitioners in Oak Hill Park do work with diabetic clients, but for complex or high-risk diabetic foot conditions it's standard practice to involve the client's GP or a registered podiatrist rather than treat alone.
How often do foot care clients in Oak Hill Park typically rebook?
Foot care is generally a recurring need every few weeks rather than a one-off treatment, which is one reason practitioners in Oak Hill Park often build a predictable round of regular clients over time.
