What the rules say
General foot care carries no statutory minimum qualification -- the hard line sits around the titles "podiatrist" and "chiropodist", which only HCPC-registered practitioners may use. Insurers, care homes and most professional bodies will nonetheless expect recognised training before they'll work with you. As a sole trader, public liability insurance stays optional in law but is close to essential given how hands-on this work is.

Can I treat diabetic clients as a non-HCPC foot care practitioner in West Carr?
Many Foot Health Practitioners in West Carr do work with diabetic clients, but for complex or high-risk diabetic foot conditions it's standard practice to involve the client's GP or a registered podiatrist rather than treat alone.
